The snow has finally melted and flowers are blooming, Spring has officially sprung in New England. With warmer weather on the horizon, now is the time to spruce your home up for spring. Here are some of our favorite ways to transition our homes from winter to spring!
Let in Fresh Air - It’s the perfect time to open your windows wide and let some of that fresh spring air in and push winter aside. Have screens with tears or holes in them? Replace or repair them to keep the bugs out!
Speaking of windows, change out your window treatments. Many of us use heavier curtains and shades in the winter to keep the cold out. Switch it up and opt for lighter, brighter fabrics, or switch from full length curtains to valances.
Giving your home a good spring cleaning can be therapeutic! Open the windows, turn up the tunes, and tackle the areas in your home that clutter tends to collect. Put away winter clothes and gear, and donate things you haven’t used. Even better, go minimal! Minimizing the amount of stuff you have in your home will help freshen it up.
Changing your decor and bringing in fresh flowers and plants is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to spruce up your home. Swap out accent pillows, add a plant to your entryway, or add fresh cut flowers to your side table or kitchen island. Not only will it make your home smell great, it will look great too!
