Chocorua Lake Waterfront Homes

Chocorua Lake is known as the most photographed lake in New Hampshire. Heading down Route 16 in Tamworth, the highway overlooks Chocorua Lake, with a dramatic view of Mount Chocorua in the background. There are only about a dozen homes with frontage on the lake, so they do not come to the real estate market often. The lake, itself, is fed by the Chocorua River, much of which drains from Mount Chocorua's southern flank. The lake is 233 acres in area, and has a maximum depth of 27 feet.
