Sonny has been around the Sun 67 times and has been engaged in the real estate industry for  the past 46 of those years.  He specializes in large tracts of land and early New England homes.  A native of Bradford, he graduated in 1979 with a degree in Chemistry from UNH upon completion of a thesis involving proton transfer kinetics, followed by many years of graduate studies devoted to biogeochemistry and forest ecology dynamics.  For the past 50 plus years, he has been active in raising border collies, logging, carpentry, landscaping, agronomy, land surveying,  researching New Hampshire boundary law and legal principles and associated property rights, and antiques.  One of Sonny’s greatest passions iare for sustainability of the land and leaving the place better than how we found it.  His interests include theoretical chemistry, physics, mathematics, paleontology, astronomy, philosophy,  literature, jazz guitar and bass, trapping, hunting, fishing, baseball, local and regional history, sugaring, forestry, farming, blacksmithing, soils, water, bedrock and glacial and surficial geology, paleontology, prehistoric archeology, philosophy and collecting edible and medicinal plants, roots, berries and nuts and the search for the truth.. He has written two books; one about the history of the Concord and Claremont Railroad and another focusing on the history and folklore of the Kearsarge-Sunapee Region. He is currently writing a book on the biogeochemistry and Holocene forest ecology dynamics of the Kearsarge-Sunapee Region of Central New Hampshire based on about 600 sites he has studied for the past four decades.  He particularly enjoys sharing quality time with his wife Ellen on their mountain farm, caring for their domestic animals (dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, chickens and draft horse), flower and vegetable gardens, fields, pastures, meadows, woodlands, wildlife, water quality and home.
