Get away from it all, really. Tucked behind a gated entrance on 50 acres in Washington, this unfinished cabin is surrounded by woods, wildlife and sweeping southwesterly views toward the Braintree Mountain Range and beyond. From the second floor, the mountain views are especially beautiful and offer a glimpse of what this special place could become. Whether your vision is a hunting camp, vacation retreat or future homestead, much of the groundwork has already been done. The approximately 1,400 square foot cabin was expanded in the mid 2010s with a poured concrete perimeter footing foundation, with a dirt floor remaining in the center, plus modern windows and French doors that fill the space with natural light. Natural pine railings and lumber, quartz countertops, cabinetry, stone veneer and numerous other building materials and furnishings on site convey with the sale. Since purchasing the property, the current owners have made substantial improvements to the Class 4 road access, including culverts, ditching and improved turnaround and parking areas. Test pits have been completed and an approved three bedroom in ground septic design and approved well location are now in place. Southern roof exposure offers potential for an off grid solar system. The land itself is just as compelling, with several sunny open areas, natural springs, apple trees, wild raspberries and blackberries, walking trails and old logging roads. Approximately 3.5 acres of mature Norway spruce offer potential timber value. Signs of wildlife are abundant, including deer and black bear, with established feeding and bedding areas around the apple trees. Hunters will appreciate the long sight lines along the powerline corridor through the western acreage, well away from the cabin. VAST trail access. Private, wild and full of possibility, this is a place to create something entirely your own.
