The holidays are upon us, and with the good cheer and fantastic food, can sometimes come stress. Below are a few of our favorite tips for simplifying your holiday meal so that you can get back to what really matters – enjoying the day!
Order groceries online. In many places you can order groceries online for easy curbside pickup, or even have them delivered through an app like Instacart. This will help ensure you get everything on your list, and will save you valuable time!
Make what you can ahead of time. Many items can be made a few days or even weeks (if frozen) ahead of time! Casseroles can be prepared and refrigerated, and soups, quiches and tarts all freeze well! Vegetables can be cut ahead of time too!
Clean the kitchen. When it comes time to prepare a meal, having all of your dishes clean and put away can go a long way. It will prevent you from having to stop in the middle of what you are doing to wash that one pot or pan you need!
Set the table the night before. Setting the table and putting out serving dishes ahead of time will give you the freedom to spend more time with your loved ones!
We wish you and your families have a safe and happy holiday!
